WHAT IS GRAN SLAM LIVE?
Gran Slam LIVE is the culmination of an 8 week online workshop program where 40 seniors from across Queensland and New South Wales have been mentored weekly by spoken word artists and writers Luka Lesson and Sarah Temporal.
The participants have not only written several new pieces of their own but have also created two extraordinary collaborative poems which have been lovingly crafted into two film clips accompanied by original music composed by internationally acclaimed musicians Gordon Hamilton and Tom Thum.
You'll be able to vote live as part of the digital event, as these poems go head to head in a state of origin battle with a difference.
This is the second year of Gran Slam and now more than ever we need to hear the voices of older Australians, amplified and visible to the world.
